22 or not, I’m so truly, madly, deeply in LOVE with Frozen and it’s color scheme and especially Queen Elsa’s pretty icy blue gown that I just HAD to have something based on it. So, I decided to make myself an evening envelope clutch that I will be wearing this Eid. Ah! I’m so darn excited!!!! 😀
I used silk fabric, therefore I was pretty worried that I was gonna screw it up, but thankfully I was able to exercise some paitence and the clutch turned out quite good! I was so happy, I finally NAILED it, you know the working with silk part considering how badly I had screwed up last time.
Oh oh! I’m so happy I found this pretty hijab accessory, I’ll be wearing it on Eid somewhat like the picture, with a blue shawl. Eeek! I’m so excited!!
Alright, moving onto the topic again. Here are the things you will need for this project.
How to make Frozen Inspired Envelope Clutch
Things you’ll need:
- ¼ yard white, silver and blue silk
- ¼ yard Sequined fabric
- ½ yard iron-on interface
- Brooch
- Clasps or buttons
- ½ yard white cotton for lining
- Free pattern (affiliate link) with detailed instructions and template for the flap (This can be downloaded from Craftsy. A little note about Craftsy: Craftsy is a worldwide craft community offering online classes. It also has a patterns marketplace where independent designers can sell their patterns; a supplies shop with great deals on yarn, fabric, and class kits)
Finished size of the clutch is 9.5″x7.5″. It will be great for parties or a dinner with friends.
