Hello girls! Today’s post is more of an entertainment and not a tutorial. I was thinking about all those moments I experience while sewing, which no one can understand better than you girls. These feelings are so hard to explain to others for instance the satisfaction of completing a project to my mom who’s always worried that I’m stressing myself out by sewing continuously which is absolutely not true. But, I’m sure you girls believe me as we are sewing pals. *virtual hug*.
I had actually written a draft of this post during my exams but for some reason I’m not able to find it. I have no idea in which corner of my computer I saved it anyway here are a few things that only people who sew can understand.
I hope you enjoy the few moments I have listed down, don’t forget to share if you loved it. 🙂
1. The feeling of utmost accomplishment when people actually find it unbelievable that your gorgeous bag or anything else was made by you.
So I made this bag few days ago and when my roommates saw it they just couldn’t believe it was handmade. Ah! That moment of accomplishment was so great! Like OMG yeay!

2. That moment of utmost frustration when you realize the matching thread of the project you are working on got over RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the project and you have no extras.
Ahh! This has happened to me quite a few times. I get so frustrated whenever it happens that people find me wailing. It breaks the whole flow of work, like you’ve planned the whole evening, made a goal to finish the project before dinner and bang! Thread’s OVER and you don’t have any spare ones lying around and you MUST visit the store or wait for the delivery to arrive so that you can continue the work again. Absolutely terrible!
3. The burst of happiness after finishing every project on which you spent half of your day.
This one if my favorite. I seriously feel so darn good after I see the finished piece by the end of the day and that’s what I call day well spent.
4. The horror when all of a sudden the machine starts having problems.
This one is the most dreadful thing. And the worst of all? When trying every solution and suggestion the machine still refuses to work and the last option you have is to take it to the shop to get it fixed. I hope you never have to face this especially if you have loads of free time and no transport. *Shivers* Imagine the pain.
5. The satisfactory feeling and the smile when the garment is a perfect fit!
Oh yes! If you have ever made something to wear you know the troubles to make the dress a perfect fit. So many trials! Gah! But when it fits perfectly I feel so satisfied and the smile just comes on automatically.
So, what are your dreadful or joyous sewing moments? Share in the comments below and don’t forget to share the post with friends and family if you enjoyed it. 🙂
