If you’ve been following me on Facebook you would know I am taking ‘Sewing Machine 911’ online course from Craftsy. Today I wanna share a short summary of all the wonderful sewing machine tips I’ve learned so far.
From my first class I learnt that bobbins actually come in different sizes! I knew they were of different materials but the thing about sizes was new stuff for me.
The other tip that I learnt was that it’s really important that the thread around your bobbin is wound very neatly, as messy threads can lead to uneven and ugly stitches.
They also showed a special trick to ensure neat wrapping of thread around the bobbin.
Other than that they had tips on cleaning the sewing machine using special brushes and another great tip I learnt was that you must clean your machine after every sewing session! Now that’s quite a lesson for me as I have no idea when I last cleaned MY machine.
I must say this course is fit for sewing beginners and experts alike.
If you would like to take up this course you can click on “Learn to Sew” link from menu bar and select the course from the list given. You will get the course for FREE! Isn’t that awesome?
