Today, I wanna share the heart-breaking story of my broken cell phone screen.

I dropped my S2 phone few days back on a tiled floor from quite a height and to my horror when I put the battery back and switched it on, the screen was BLANK! My heart was pounding like crazy out of nervousness. I tried to calm myself down, that we can always get the screen fixed, it isn’t a big deal.
But, things aren’t always meant to go right. When we took the phone to the service center, they said the LCD screen from inside had broken and they had to change the whole package with it, which includes the glass and all that stuff and guess how much was that for?
More than the half price that I got my phone for! My eyes had burst out!
And hence the decision was made to get a new cell phone rather than opening up the S2’s body. My love, S2, the phone I had drooled on for AGES and I had no intentions on changing for atleast two years. *Sigh*
So what happened to my S2? Nothing. It is just lying around resting in peace. without resale value. But, you can choose to get out of this situation through Giselle.
Do you know what Giselle does? They pay you for your old gadgets.

And for the most important part of this post. The moral I must say, ALWAYS use a flip cover for your phone to protect it, period. This is from my personal expereince, I have dropped and broken two smart phone’s screens. 🙁 First was my n900, (it got fixed for really cheap price), but I didn’t learn a lesson from that and kept my S2 without cover too. And, just learnt the lesson the HARD way, hence for my new xperia I bought a flip cover right away, no matter how ugly it was.
Have you ever broken your cell phone’s screen? How much did you spend on fixing it?
