Hola everyone!Today I am sharing these cute girly hand-made pouches I made for my nieces. My cousin’s daughters actually.

Do you remember the fabric? Yes, it is the (affiliate link/ad) one yard fabric that Wholeport sent to me in April. Did I tell you how amazing the quality of this canvas fabric is? And I just LOVEE the print! They have many awesome bold prints you would love to work with. Do check them out!
I have soooo many projects to share made from that one yard fabric. I just can’t stop loving the bold and girly print.
For these pouch what I did first was to fabric paint the names onto a plain white cotton fabric after tracing the letters directly from the printed out paper.
Then I sewed it in with the other fabric.
Somewhere in between I thought of using another design technique with tulle, but that turned out to be fail. Even after adding the pearls it did not have that appeal to it. Feed-backs from other people weren’t satisfactory either so I had to open everything up and start over. Blah! I wish I had just stuck to the original plan. It would’ve been so much easier that way.
Anyhow, what do you think of how they finally turned out? Do you like the first design more than the second one?
If you are new to sewing and don’t know how to sew I have a perfect recommendation for you. There is an amazing FREE craftsy class that you can take and learn how to make zipper pouch and tote bag. The class is absolutely free, all you need to do is sign up.
They also have free download-able patterns for both tote bag and zipper pouch.
