Ah! Finally a tutorial! Today we didn’t have any labs so I thought I would just finish off the blog work. I made this knock-off vase this week but the final pictures were not done until today. Tough it is a quick process, I split the work in few days to fit in with the study schedule.
The inspiration came from obviously Kate Spade while I was browsing through their website and stumbled upon this flower glass vase. I already had the ceramic vase lying down somewhere because it wasn’t fitting in with my current theme but giving it this look seemed quite a fun thing to do. Plus, with the addition of the black calligraphy I can easily incorporate it in my room.
$75 Kate Spade DIY Flower Vase Knock-off Tutorial
Supplies
- Tape
- Gold spray paint
- Permanent marker
- Ceramic vase
So, the steps are pretty simple. In just a few minutes time you can make your own flower vase that’s super cute.
All you gotta do is wrap the tape around the vase as shown. Spray paint. Let the paint dry. Remove the tape and use your marker to write random stuff around the vase (I just wrote some of my favorite song lyrics). And you’re DONE!
The project cost me WAY less than $75 probably around $10 because I don’t remember how much I paid for the ceramic vase. So yeah, just a little bit of improvement and it’s good to go for the new theme. And, the best thing is… if you’re bored of the design you can just remove it with acetone and make something new!
